Logging Your Training Routine

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year!

As a lot of you already know, one thing that I highly recommend is logging your martial arts training routine. I have been doing this on a daily basis for the past 9 years, and it has helped motivate me to practice more, work out harder, and to balance my training consistently in all areas (e.g., forms/sets, techniques, stand-up fighting, ground-fighting, weapons, and so on).

One of the biggest changes to my 2012 workout routine is that I started training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu in early January 2012. I am going to write a lot more about this journey in a future blog, but for now it will suffice to say that it has made my American Kenpo skills much stronger. I also started training with the kettlebell 3 days per week to improve my strength.
